ROTC Scholarships

If you haven't attended college yet, and your interested in attending a four-year school and then joining the Army, an ROTC Scholarship could be a great option.

Requirement for an ROTC Scholarship

To get an ROTC scholarship for a four-year school, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between the ages of 17 and 26
  • Graduate high school (or equivalency certificate) and have a high school GPA of at least 2.5
  • Score at least a 920 on SAT (in math and verbal) OR a 19 on ACT (excluding writing test)
  • Be physically able to serve in the US Army
  • Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army (as Active Duty or Reserve)

Once you graduate from your school, you must serve in the Army for at least 8 years. Generally this is broken up as 4 years in Active Duty and 4 years in the Individual Ready Reserve. Some cadets may be able to serve part of their time in the Army Reserve or National Guard.
