MOS Details
Major Duties: 

Human Resources Technician is a warrant officer position which supports the Army's Human Resources/Personnel Management systems through a variety of functions. They perform duties such as: preparing correspondence to both civilian and military organizations, monitor office documents (word processing, spreadsheets, etc), monitors personnel strength and casualties, counsels individuals on personal, financial, and career matters, supervises administrative personnel, and many other vital duties.

Qualifications and Prerequisites
30 semester hours of college (6 hours minimum of college-level English)
Other Qualifications: 
  • Must be a staff sergeant or higher and have at least 4 years in the 42A/F/L (Human Resources Specialist) MOS
  • Must successfully complete 42A Advanced Leadership Course
  • Must have 36 months leadership experience supervising soldiers
  • 6 hours of computer training documented on official transcripts (not required, but recommended
