TRICARE Pharmacy Program allows you to fill prescriptions at military pharmacies, civilian pharmacies in the Express Scripts network, TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery, and some support for non-network pharmacies. Buying prescription drugs from a military pharmacy is the most affordable as you don't have any out-of-pocket expenses.
Active duty soldiers receive dental treatment through Dental Treatment Facilities (DTFs) or via the Active Duty Dental Program. Soldiers using the dental program contact the current government contractor, United Concordia, and schedule appointments through them. United Concordia will set up routine care within 21 days of receiving the request. Appointments for special dental procedures (such as crowns or bridges) will schedule the appointment within 28 days of receiving the request. Family members that want dental coverage can purchase the TRICARE Dental Program. The TRICARE Dental Program provides comprehensive coverage of services such as routine exams and services, basic restorative services (such as fillings), root canals, gum surgery, crowns, and braces for spouses and children up to age 23.
