Im supposed to be going to meps this week. Ive been diagnosed with strep throat this weekend and given an antibiotic, but im afraid that if I take it, it will interfere with my labs at meps... does anyone know how this would work, or if there are allowances for antibiotic medication?

Contact your Recruiter immediately! He HAS to be made aware of any health problems you have while in delayed entry. I can't address your problem & have no idea whether antibiotics will affect any tests at MEPS.

Although I don't think strep will affect your enlistment or disqualify you but it might set you back.

My guess? Your Recruiter will check to make sure you're good to go for a MEPS visit. If not he'll reschedule you. If you're still communicable & able to pass this on to others, the last place they'll want you is with a bunch of people, some of who might be at MEPS for their final physical before shipping the next day. Those new Service Members can pass it on to those that attend their basic training.
