Try to find an Army liaison NCO on your base. He might be able to fix it so there's no break in service.

I'm not up on policies for prior service or changing services recruiting. Not too long ago the only MOS a prior service person could come in was 18X, Special Forces. I understand that now there are several MOSs open to PS. There's a Call to Active Duty program now & I'm not sure what's involved.

If you can't find an Army liaison then contact a Recruiter.

Thank you very much i actually just got off the phone with an Army recruiter from back home and he said that the only thing open was for special forces which i'm more than willing to try but im going to look into the call to active duty as well thank you very much

Give SF a try, CPL

This is the schedule you'll probably have - Infantry School. Airborne School, SFAS Prep, Special Forces Assessment & Selection. If you bust selection you'll be an Infantryman who is Airborne qualified. BUT - most of the time Airborne units don't take washouts for SF or Ranger training even though you'll wear Jump Wings. Maybe they will, though. That was a scam in the old days when a person wanted Jump School & assignment to the 82nd Airborne. When he was turned down he'd put in for SFAS & purposely fail. The 82nd would then pick him up because they needed jump qualified Soldiers. I only know that the 82nd isn't taking Ranger Selection washouts. The needs of the Army & the 82nd Airborne will dictate that. In any event you'll be Infantry with a second MOS in Commo. Your Jump Wings & Airborne School will get you promotion points & you'll get to wear those pretty wings. (Mine has a star with a wreath around it on top, lol)

Good luck & please keep me advised of your progress (or lack of it). I get most of my info from people that are actually going through the process at the time. Since I'm retired I'm out of the loop & recruiting policies are changing often. I imagine it's the same in the Corps.
