No it's not possible because it's only a one year tour over there and the min contract is three years. Why do you only want to go to Japan?
I kinda wanted to join the Japanese army to pick up culture a new way of life and etc. I don't mean to offend USA but I rather be in the Japanese military because Japan doesn't have its only military I heard.
I know absolutely nothing about the Japanese military. I can guess that they'd have citizenship rules just like most of the armies of the world. You might have to give up your US citizenship.
I suggest that you contact a Japaneses Consulate & ask them about enlisting in their military.
What do you mean I have to give up my US Citizenship and how can I contact them?
Normally if you want to join an Army but you're a citizen of another country you have to renounce your citizenship & swear allegiance to the country you'll serve. Sometimes you can hold a dual citizenship. In the US Army, the only Army I know about, you must be a legal alien or US citizen to enlist. That's the way it is for the US Army. This site, Army.com, deals with the US Army & I doubt if anyone here can give you any information about the Armys of foreign countries. I for one have no idea.
I have no idea how to contact a consulate of any country. Try Google.
