With a 4 year degree you'll be able to enter the Army as a SPC E-4 if you decide to go the enlisted route. You get to choose your MOS if there are openings available. If you want a commission you can go into the Army with a 09S contract. That gets you OCS after Basic Combat Training. Your job would be determined by the Order of Merit List. A Recruiter will explain that to you.

I would definitely see a Recruiter & ask him what it takes to be a Pharmacist in the Army. I'm sure there's a way to do that & a need for those skills.

A Recruiter might shunt you over to an AMEDD Recruiter if you want to be an Army Pharmacist.

Keep us up to date on what happens.

The Army will either give you

The Army will either give you tuition assistance cor the education you already paid for or will pay for the education that you want after your enlistment time is finished. A Recruiter will explain all of that to you.

There's a possibility that the Army might even send you to Pharmnacy School & pay for it. An AMEDD Recruiter can tell you if that's possible. You can even possibly enter the Army as an officer. A Recruiter will probably hook you up with an AMEDD Recruiter.

The only experience I have with this type of thing is with a young lady who I'm mentoring. It seems she can enter the Army as an officer without having to go through OCS & they'll send her to physical therapist training. At this time she has her bachelors in physical training & is working toward her masters in kinesiology. She'll be leaving for the Army next year after she gets her masters degree. She's working through an Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Recruiter after starting with a regular Recruiter.

Normally when you have no middle initial your official name would look like this : "John NMI Smith" Of course NMI means "no middle initial" Let the Recruiter know what you did so he can rectify the record. Your name will have to match your birth certificate & Social Security card. If this comes up again just put "N/A" where the middle initial goes or better yet ask your Recruiter what to do.

Recruiter

You can go to the top of this page & click "Request Army Info", fill out the form & submit it or contact a local Recruiting Station by looking up the number in a phone book or calling directory assistance, 411 I think. Or try both. You might get a faster response by calling a Recruiter direct.

Sometimes local public libraries have recruiting information available close to the entrance. There should be a phone number listed to contact a Recruiter.

Good Luck

No need to call me "sir". I retired as an enlisted senior NCO in the Army, a Master Sergeant. We don't get "sirred", we work for a living.lol.

Good luck in reaching a Recruiter & please come back on & let us know what he tells you.

Pharmacists are commissioned

Pharmacists are commissioned at the grade of O-3 (Captain) in the Medical Service Corps. Find a healthcare recruiter near you at http://www.goarmy.com/amedd/army-health-care-corps/medical-services/lear...

Good luck!
