What about someone who as Aspergers? Would they be rejected?

Don't Lie!

If you develop symptoms while in the Army & the Army finds out that it was a pre-existing condition & you failed to disclose it you'll be kicked out at best or prosecuted at worst. It would be considered a fraudulent enlistment.

Do you really think you could hack military duty without meds?

I will let my kid know. He is brilliant with computers and was hoping for a job with computers in the military. He is very high functioning and is getting straight A's in college. Thank you for your candor.

He should check with a Recruiter before he gives up all hope. There are certain medical issues that will allow you to join IF you've been off meds for a certain period of time & IF you've gotten a full clearance from a doctor. A waiver is probably necessary, though. Then there are certain diseases that are not waiverable & are an automatic permanent disqualification.
