Im making a 'roadmap' and trying to get things together. I graduate in this year than im off to college.
So im going to olivet naz. university for pre-med. also doing the ROTC program. "Roaring Tigers Battalion"
after than (assuming i get it) i'll request a "ed-delay & go strieght to med school.
now upon graduating med school i'll have to serve 12 years.
Will i be doing my internship in the army? What exactly are they going to let me do?
Thank you, i need all the help i can get. I need to know
I don't even think it's a requirement to go through ROTC if you're planning on going to Med School. Every Army doc that I ever knew was direct-commissioned.
Those going through ROTC are commissioned at the same time they receive their bachelors degree. I'm not sure what would happen if you planned on going to Med School as a Commissioned Officer at that time. What might be a possibility is that you would go to Med School while on active duty as a 2LT. I really don't know. I'm sorry.
I suggest that you contact the ROTC liaison at the college you'll attend & have it all clarified for you. That failing contact the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) & ask them. There might even be a program available for you.
