Army Regulation AR 621-202 Army Educational Incentives and Entitlements, which was first published in February of 1992, was updated this month (February of 2016) and the new regulations will take effect on March 8, 2016.

Army National Guard Urging Soldiers to Make Use of Education Benefits

Army National Guard Soldiers eligible for education benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill have had the option of transferring some or all of those benefits to their spouse or children, but they may miss out on taking full advantage of that if they don't elect to do so while still in uniform.

Tuition Assistance Down, Post-9/11 GI Bill Up

According to a report by MilitaryTimes.com, the number of service members using the tuition assistance benefit for active-duty soldiers has dropped over the past fiscal year, while the number of veterans and their families that have been using the Post-9/11 GI Bill has risen.
