Army Now Taking Emergency Relief Scholarship Applications

Army Emergency Relief (AER) is now accepting applications through May 1, 2016. AER supports both the Spouse Scholarship Program, as well as the Maj. General James Ursano Scholarship Program for dependent children. Scholarship specifics and applications are available on AER's website:

Spouse Scholarships can be used for full- or part-time students while the Ursano Scholarship is only for full-time students.

Last year AER awarded 4,245 scholarships, totaling more than $9 million for spouses and children of Soldiers.

Deadline Closing in on Scholarships for Military Children Program

February 12 is the fast-approaching deadline for 2016 Scholarships for Military Children. Each worth $2,000, the scholarships are available to qualified dependent, unmarried children younger than 21 (or 23, if enrolled full time at a college or university) of an active duty service member, a reservist, or guardsman, retiree, or survivor of a military member who died while on active duty, or the survivor of a retiree.
