This week, don't worry too much about getting to a recruiter since many of them will be closed! Instead, enjoy the holiday season and if you're looking to enlist, make sure you get to a recruiter next week - this is going to be their slowest time of the year!

If you're going to need a waiver to enlist, THIS IS THE TIME TO TALK TO A RECRUITER! They are typically slow around Christmas time and this might be your only chance until next Christmas! Ask any questions you may have at our forums - http://army.com/forum - but don't delay in getting to your local recruiter's office!

It's getting close to the holiday season, which means that recruiters may be getting more lenient about what is acceptable for "waiver material". This means if you've had any minor medical or legal issues keeping you from enlisting, this may be your only shot! Check out http://army.com/info/usa/eligibility for more information!

This Veteran's Day, in addition to thanking a vet for their service, why not sign up to send a letter to a vet at A Million Thanks (http://www.amillionthanks.org) or stop by a nearby retirement home or VA facility and ask a vet about their time in the service. Talk and engage with them a little bit - show them you're not only thankful, but that you care!
