This Veteran's Day, in addition to thanking a vet for their service, why not sign up to send a letter to a vet at A Million Thanks (http://www.amillionthanks.org) or stop by a nearby retirement home or VA facility and ask a vet about their time in the service. Talk and engage with them a little bit - show them you're not only thankful, but that you care!
