Will My Benefits Renew or End Once My Current Entitlements Are Depleted?

Q: Hello sir, I was reviewing my benefit status and I noticed that I only have 9 months of GI Bill benefits remaining. I'm in the US Army National Guard and joined under the College First option as a 19K (Tanker). I am currently receiving the GI Bill + Kicker for a total of $687/month (I received a letter stating they upped it to $824/month). I have another two years left of school and I'm just wondering if my benefits will renew or will I lose that income once my benefits have depleted?

Which Form Do I Use to Upgrade My Discharge?

Q: I got a OTH (other than honorable) discharge in 1989. Which form do I use to upgrade my discharge to an Honorable or general under Honorable conditions.

A:  If you are looking to use your GI Bill education benefits, nothing less than fully honorable will do you any good. A general discharge would not allow you to use your GI Bill education entitlements.
