So the first step is to find out how long the turkey needs to cook. If the turkey cooks for 13 minutes per pound, first find out the whole pounds:

17 lbs x 13 minutes = 221 minutes

To find how long the quarter pound (.25) will add, find out what a quarter of 13 is:

13 x .25 = 3.25 minutes, or 3 minutes 15 seconds

Adding those together, we get the total cooking time:

221 + 3.25 = 224.25 minutes

Then we add the 30 minute resting time:

224.25 + 30 = 254.25

To convert these minutes into hours, we divide by 60

254.25 / 60 = 4.24 hours, which is about 4 hours and 15 minutes. The answer is B.
