The trickiest portion of this question is noticing that the interest is annual, and the question asks for the interest over one year, so all that is necessary to do is to find 3% of $2,500.

If 100% is $2,500 then 10% is 250 (notice the removed zero from both) and 1% is $25. To get 3%, just multiply 1% ($25) times 3 - and you get $75, or answer B.
