The formula for solving this problem is:

L/H = R/E

L - Length of the ramp
H - Height of the ramp
R - Weight of the object
E - Force required to move the object.

Plugging the variables into the formula gives us this:

8/2 = 400/X

We can cross multiply to reduce this down to

8X = 800

Dividing both sides by 8, we get

X = 100

The answer is C) 100 pounds
